There was a fatal motorcycle accident this morning (July 30, 2015) in Aurora. The accident, happened on the far northeast side in DuPage County.
According to police, the accident happened at approximately 7:10 a.m. on Butterfield Road near Hedge Row Drive. At that time, a motorcyclist – who witnesses say may have been experiencing mechanical problems – attempted to make a U-turn to go westbound on Butterfield. While attempting to make the U-turn, the Ducati motorcycle was hit by a Mack truck driven by a 44-year-old man from Ottawa.
The motorcyclist, identified as Bradley L. Stein, 54, of Aurora, was first taken Presence Mercy Medical Center in Aurora for treatment of his accident injuries, and then flown to Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Downer’s Grove.
He was pronounced dead at 10:05 a.m.
The accident remains under investigation.

There was a rollover car accident Friday morning (July 24, 2015) in Naperville. As a result of the crash, five people were taken to hospitals for treatment of their injuries.
The accident happened at 87th Street and Book Road (near the Springbrook Prairie Forest Preserve) at 9:11 a.m., according to Naperville Police.
According to a preliminary investigation, the accident happened after a Toyota had pulled onto the shoulder of the roadway due to some type of mechanical issue. The accident occurred as this Toyota was “rear-ended” by a Ford Escape. During the course of the accident, the Ford Escape rolled over.
Five people were in the two cars at the time of the accident. They were all taken to Edward Hospital in Naperville for treatment of their accident injuries, which were considered to be non-life-threatening in nature.
This DuPage County car accident remains under investigation.
