Fatal Pedestrian Accident In Bartlett

There was a fatal DuPage County pedestrian accident early Monday (September 28, 2015) in Bartlett.

Details on the accident appear somewhat limited at this time.

According to police, the accident happened when a Chevy Cruze, traveling eastbound on U.S. 20 (Lake Street), struck a person at approximately 5:30 a.m.  The accident happened just east of Lambert Lane.

The pedestrian, identified only as a woman, died at the accident scene.

The driver of the Cruze was not injured.

The accident remains under investigation.

Fatal Pedestrian Accident In Wheaton

There was a fatal DuPage County pedestrian accident Wednesday night (September 16, 2015) in Wheaton.

Details regarding the accident and especially its causes appear limited at this time.

According to the City of Wheaton September 17, 2015 press release, titled “Pedestrian fatality,” Wheaton Police responded to the accident at 7:53 p.m.

The accident happened at Butterfield Road and Naperville Road.

According to the DuPage County Coroner’s Office, the pedestrian, a 60-year-old woman identified as Pamela Spletter, 60, of Naperville, was pronounced dead at the accident scene at 8:20 p.m.

This fatal pedestrian crash remains under investigation.

Fatal Vehicle Collision In Bloomingdale

There was a fatal DuPage County vehicle accident Tuesday afternoon (September 8, 2015) in Bloomingdale.

According to Bloomingdale Police, the accident involved a collision between an SUV and semi truck at approximately 4:50 p.m.  The collision happened on Lake Street at Glen Ellyn Road.

A preliminary police investigation indicates that the driver of the semi “ran a red light” as he was traveling eastbound on Lake Street.

A collision ensued, with the driver and passenger of the SUV having severe accident injuries.

According to the DuPage County Coroner’s Office, the driver of the SUV, Jill Mraz, 56, of Roselle, was pronounced dead after being taken to Adventist Glen Oaks Medical Center in Glendale Heights.

The SUV’s passenger, a male, was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove for treatment of his accident injuries.

The accident remains under investigation.
