A pickup truck crashed into a house Monday (February 1, 2016) in Winfield.
According to the Winfield Fire Department, the driver of the truck lost control of the pickup after hitting an icy patch. Pictures show the pickup having crashed into the living room.
While the homeowners were home at the time of the crash, none of those inside the house were injured.
According to the DuPage County Sheriff’s Office, the driver was hurt, suffering minor injuries during the crash. He was taken to Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield.

The truck was towed out of the house around 7:45 a.m. A source said the truck was going about 60 mph at the time of the crash. Sheriff’s deputies said that is far too fast for the conditions, and they expect the driver will face traffic citations.
