6-Year-Old Boy Struck By Car In Wheaton

A 6-year-old boy who was struck by a car in Wheaton on Wednesday, May 4, 2016.

According to Wheaton Police, the accident happened at approximately 3:55 p.m. on May 4 in the 1200 block of Taft Street.

Wheaton Police say at that time the boy ran in front of an eastbound car and was struck.

The boy, who was later identified as John RuatPuia, was taken to Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield for treatment of his accident injuries after the accident.

According to subsequent updates regarding the accident, the boy died on May 11, 2016.
