There was a double fatal two-car accident Friday evening (February 24, 2017) in West Chicago.
According to information provided by the DuPage County Coroner’s Office and other sources, the crash happened at approximately 5:00 p.m., and led to the deaths of two people.
The crash happened in the area of Fabian Parkway south of Rt. 38 (Roosevelt Road.) It involved two vehicles heading in opposite directions on Fabyan Parkway colliding in a “head-on” collision.
The two people who died were in one vehicle. The driver was identified as Victor Martinez 24, of West Chicago, Il., and the passenger was his brother, Enrique Martinez 20, also of West Chicago, Il. Victor Martinez was declared dead at the accident scene. Enrique Martinez was pronounced dead after being taken to the Central DuPage Hospital Emergency Room for treatment of his accident injuries.
Two other people in the second vehicle were injured. They were only identified as a boy and his adult relative.
This fatal collision is being investigated by the DuPage County Coroner’s Office, West Chicago Police and the DuPage County Sheriff’s Department.
