There was a car crash Saturday (July 16, 2016) in Aurora after which the driver died a few days later. The accident happened on Indian Trail Road at approximately 2:00 p.m., according to Aurora Police.
The accident involved an apparent vehicle loss of control. According to Aurora Police, the man was attempting to turn south onto Mansfield Drive, when his vehicle suddenly turned back right at a high rate of speed. In doing so, the car then ran over a raised median, went across westbound lanes, and hit several trees and bushes. The car, a Cadillac CTS, came to a stop after hitting a tree in a back yard in the 1200 block of York Court.
The man was identified as Arnold G. Breitung, 90, of Aurora.

Breitung, who was not wearing a seatbelt at the time, suffered head and spine injuries in the crash, according to police. There was no one else in the car.
Breitung was taken to a hospital for treatment of his accident injuries, and was later transferred to Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove. He died on Thursday morning.
This fatal traffic accident is being investigated by the Aurora Police Traffic Division.
