Naperville Car Crash Results In Driver Being Fatally Injured

There was a fatal car crash Sunday (February 25, 2018) in Naperville.  The accident appears to have involved a loss of control caused by currently undetermined reasons.  It was a single-vehicle crash.

According to Naperville Police, the accident occurred as a Mercedes Benz CLS63 was traveling westbound on 87th Street, near Modaff Road.   At 7:09 p.m., the car left the roadway and hit a tree.

The driver was taken to Edward Hospital for treatment of his accident injuries.  He later died there.  The driver was identified as Jason Schaus, 41, of Naperville.

This fatal DuPage County crash remains under investigation by the Naperville Police Department.
