Driver Dies Following West Chicago Two-Car Accident

There was a fatal car accident late Tuesday night (November 15, 2016) in unincorporated West Chicago.

According to information provided by the DuPage County Sheriff’s Office, the two-car accident happened at approximately 11:00 p.m., at the intersection of Roosevelt Road and Gary’s Mill Road.

At that time, there was a crash during which one of the drivers was ejected from his vehicle.  Details on the cause of the crash – as well as which party may be at fault – do not appear to be publicly available at this time.

The driver who was ejected was identified as Shaun Wold, 35, of West Chicago.  He was declared dead after being taken to Central DuPage County Hospital in Winfield.

The other driver was injured and also taken to Central DuPage County Hospital.

This fatal DuPage County accident remains under investigation.
