Girl Struck By Train In Hinsdale, Illinois

There was a DuPage County train accident on Saturday evening (December 13, 2014) in Hinsdale, Illinois.

Details on this accident appear limited at this time, especially with regard to the causes of the accident.

According to the Hinsdale Police, the train accident happened at 7:03 p.m. at the Garfield Crossing.  At that time, a 17-year-old girl was struck by a Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad train.

The girl was first taken to Adventist Hinsdale Hospital and then transferred to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood for treatment of accident injuries.

This DuPage County train accident remains under investigation.
