I-88 Fatal Car Crash In Oak Brook Involving Loss Of Vehicle Control

There was a fatal car accident early Sunday morning (March 26, 2017) on Interstate 88 (I-88) in Oak Brook.

According to preliminary crash investigation information provided by the Illinois State Police (ISP), the crash happened at 2:17 a.m. when a driver of a 2003 Lincoln LS traveling eastbound on I-88, west of York Road, lost control of the car.

After the loss of vehicle control, the car hit a guardrail and then struck a 2002 Lincoln LS that was in the middle of the expressway.

A passenger in the silver Lincoln, a 23-year-old woman from Chicago, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The driver, a 22-year-old woman from Chicago, and two passengers from the car, 23-year-old Chicago women, were all taken to Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove. During the crash, one of the passengers was ejected from the vehicle.
