The woman was crossing Maple Avenue from north to south at Benedictine Parkway about 4:50 p.m. when she was hit by a vehicle traveling east on Maple through a green light, Lisle police said in a release.
The male driver of the vehicle was unharmed and stayed at the scene of the crash, police said. Officers arrived and found a doctor and nurse aiding the 60-year-old Lisle resident.
The woman, identified as Julie Ann Field, 60, of Lisle, was taken to Edward Hospital in Naperville. She was pronounced dead.
