Man Dies After Being Hit By Metra Train Near Lisle

A man was hit by a train near the Lisle Metra station on Monday, March 16.  The man who was struck later died from his injuries.

The train struck the man just after 4:00 p.m.  The train was inbound train 1272, and it struck the man to the east of the station.

Preliminary information provided by Lisle police indicated the incident was not an accident, “but instead an unfortunate incident of self-harm.”
