Man Struck By Car In Naperville Dies Following Accident

Early this morning (Tuesday, November 21, 2017) there was a fatal accident in which a car struck a person in Naperville.   At the time of the accident, the man struck was attempting to change a tire.

Naperville police responded to the scene at 75th Street and Fort Hill Drive at 12:01 a.m. The victim, a 26-year-old man from Itasca, pulled his blue, 2004 Kia Optima to the side of the road to change his tire. A 28-year-old driver of a black Subaru Impreza, from Millington, was heading east on 75th Street toward Book Road when the impact occurred.

The 26-year-old man who was struck was declared dead after being taken to Edward Hospital in Naperville.

The accident investigation, including an accident reconstruction, is being conducted by the Naperville Police Traffic Unit.  At this time no citations have been issued with regard to the accident.
