Rollover Accident Involving Naperville Fire Department Ambulance

There was a traffic collision involving a vehicle rollover early Tuesday morning (January 3, 2017) in Naperville.  The crash involved a Naperville Fire Department ambulance and a car.

The crash is discussed in a number of sources, including the Positively Naperville article of January 3, 2017, titled “Police investigate serious traffic crash near Ogden at Aurora avenues.”  As seen in that article, preliminary crash investigation information indicates that the crash happened at approximately 3:27 a.m., as an ambulance was traveling westbound at Aurora Avenue and the driver of a 1998 Toyota Camry was driving northbound at Ogden Avenue.  A collision occurred between the two vehicles near Ogden Avenue and Aurora Avenue.

As a result of the collision, the ambulance rolled over and the Camry went off of the roadway and into a nearby auto dealership’s parking lot.

Both of the Naperville Fire Department personnel in the ambulance, as well as the 52-year-old female driver of the Camry, were taken to Edward Hospital in Naperville for treatment of accident injuries.
