Naperville Accident Involving SUV Crashing Into Tree

There was a car accident early Wednesday (November 23, 2016) in which a SUV went off the roadway and crashed into a tree in Naperville.

According to the City of Naperville, in a November 23, 2016 news release titled “Naperville Police Investigate Serious Single Traffic Crash, Seek Witnesses,” the Naperville Police and Fire Departments responded to the crash at approximately 2:36 a.m.  The accident scene was in the area of Naper Boulevard, south of Ogden Avenue.

According to preliminary crash investigation results, the crash involved a SUV leaving the roadway and striking a tree.  At this time there does not appear to be a publicly disclosed reason for this apparent loss of vehicle control.

Two vehicle occupants were taken to Edward Hospital for treatment of their accident injuries.  One of these people died.

The accident remains under investigation by the Naperville Police Department’s Traffic Unit.
