Fatal Glendale Heights Accident In Which Vehicle Caught Fire

There was a fatal DuPage County crash during which a vehicle caught fire early Friday (June 15, 2018) morning in Glendale Heights.

According to Glendale Heights police, police responded to the accident at 2:11 a.m.  The accident scene was at North Avenue west of Glen Ellyn Road.

The cause of the accident has not yet been determined.  During the crash a vehicle caught fire.

The driver of one of the cars was trapped inside the vehicle, and that driver died at the accident scene.

The driver of the other car was taken to GlenOaks Hospital in Glendale Heights for treatment of accident injuries.

The accident remains under investigation by the DuPage County Accident Reconstruction Team.  A crash reconstruction is being conducted.
